I’ve become bored, doing dailies with the same cards all the time … the Gypsies are my first love, but they are also the cards I use for professional readings … so I am going to start posting using other cards as well. I will scan some different decks in to the computer today…starting with the Lenormand.

Hope denotes something that you have been waiting for, can also denote overseas…beside the journey card it can suggest a trip overseas. Unexpected Joy… something that comes from left field, something you weren’t expecting that brings joy. Money is money, material things.

The bottom card is Fortune. A positive card. It shows something fortunate,  something good.

Something I really wasn’t expecting is going to happen today. Whatever it is it’s a good thing. It’s something I have been waiting and hoping for and involves money or material things.

Maybe I should go check last nights lotto ticket. lol!

I’ve always looked to the card at the bottom of the deck for clarification as to what the reading is about but haven’t included it in my posts. I intend to do this from now on as I feel that it adds depth to the reading.

Well, there’s that Judge again. He comes up so often in my readings I’m beginning to think he’s stalking me! :)

Thought shows I’m going to be thinking, pondering something today. Judge … a person in authority, legalities, decisions. Enemy … someone who really doesn’t have your best interests at heart.  Something that is bad for you. Someone you don’t like. It can also denote that you are your own worst enemy.

The card at the bottom of the deck today is Malady and coupled with Thought indicates negative thinking, bad thoughts.

Putting it all together it shows that negative thinking today is likely to sabotage a decision  made in the past.  So I need to be aware of my thoughts today.

Well Judge is the focus card and shows the matter is about legalities, decisions … Judge can also represent a doctor or a person in authority.

Money is usually about money, finances, buying and selling, anything to do with money.

Ecclesiastic denotes spiritual matters, organisations, institutions. I find a lot of times that it represents state departments.

This is about a financial decision,  Money, Judge quite possibly involving the bank.  Money, Ecclesiastic

Well it’s been a long year without internet access. I live in the bush and our service here has been sporadic at best. However we now have a reasonable internet service so I am back and looking forward to interacting again!

Against what am I chiefly warned?

7 spadesIn the spirit of things I decided I would do a serious reading using the Gypsy Fortune Telling Cards.

Against what am I chiefly warned?

7  Spades: Wet feet and ill-fitting shoes.

Actually, I can relate to that answer. The back of my house has very slippery tiles on the floor and I have come a cropper a couple of times with wet feet!   :o

Fun Cards!

Posted in Gypsy Cards with tags on October 11, 2009 by Kat

When I was ordering new cards the other week I thought I would get a deck of these cardsGypsy Fortune cards, just for the fun of them. They’re the Gypsy Fortune Telling Cards by Julia Parker.

They’re a re-publication of a fortune telling book written back in the 1920′s by Gypsy Rickwood.

The cards themselves are an ordinary deck of Playing Cards with nicely designed backs and come with an accompanying book.

To read the cards you ask a question, shuffle the cards, pick one; then look up the answer in the book.

Some of the answers are very ligthearted, whilst others are of a more serious note.

Apparently  the seriousness of the answer is dependent on the seriousness of your approach to the cards.

One of the questions is “Shall I be given many wedding presents?” Some of the answers are; many, but all useless;  useless, engraved silver trays, a parrot who talks fluently, you had better buy your own.

While I believe that these cards can be used in all seriousness, they also make for a very merry night’s entertainment with a group of friends and a few glasses of wine.

They would also make a delightful  present for someone. My daughter has fallen in love with these cards and will be getting a deck for xmas this year.

I, myself find these cards to be lighthearted and fun, but with a deeper, more serious side to them, should you wish to use them in a more serious vein.
